It’s For The Kids

Our Board member, Rob and Emily, at the event.

Toys, music, and food! Sounds like a party, right? It was. We attended the event for children of veterans, military, and first responders this past Sunday in Jeffersontown. We brought with us toys, coloring books, balloons, cupcakes, and suckers. We were honored to get to participate in this event.

As a non-profit, we struggle with the reality that we can’t give unless we get. It’s a cycle of requesting , receiving, and giving. So, it’s important for us not only as a non-profit to support our chosen area, but to be able to relate and communicate with others that strive to do the same. We met many fellow organizations that support our children, veterans and active duty. We are excited to in the near future start sharing other organizations to be able to give our warriors the support they need.

Follow us on Facebook to see who we met and how they can help.

We are extremely happy to have met the wonderful families of our warriors. Kids came to our table so excited that they were getting something fun, and we even had a few stop to talk and tell us their stories.

Volunteers really made the event possible.

We want to say a special thank you to our volunteers who took time out of their Sunday to help us with the event.
