Loving anyone is an exciting journey. Love can be an adrenaline-filled, blissful journey. It can be fulfilling, and it can feel like home. It can be shown by devotion and support. It can be found in romance, it can reside as friends, or it can abide in family and support.
Love is a lot of work. True, long-lasting love takes time, persistence, and patience. Loving a veteran, or an active duty member, a person who has given the very best of themselves to our country, that can be a bit more complicated.

Our warriors are ingrained with a sense of duty and honor to their country. Oftentimes, they must uphold that duty above their desires. That commitment is honorable and brave. Love requires bravery.
Anyone who has loved a warrior will express to you how often that commitment flowed into their relationship. Those beautiful qualities we see in our warriors that make them so resilient can often also make them completely resilient and devoted to us. Whether the relationship is romantic, a friendship, a family, or supporting in another way, within that relationship lies love.
This Valentine’s Day we celebrate love. We aren’t going to emblazon love. We aren’t going to tell you it’s always perfect. That’s not what love is. Love is lasting, resilient, honorable, kind, and honest.
For those loving a warrior, you are strong, you are brave, and you are resilient. You’ve been given a person who will more than likely give you all they possibly can while upholding those values that made you love them in the first place.

We honor spouses, partners, significant others, parents, donors, friends, and family. We thank all of you, for loving our warriors.
Your time, resilience, financial support, and strength amaze us and you’re seen. We love you.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
