This Month’s $1000 Giveaway

You made a Couple Veteran’s Lives a Little Easier

Warrior Battalion donates $1000 a month to a veteran in need. This month we donated to Joe & D. Joe is a veteran who lives in Indiana. He reached out to us with a request to help him cover expenses that his benefits aren’t covering. D also reached out looking for assistance to cover food and utilities that she needed to catch up on, as her benefits weren’t covering everything she needed to make it. We responded with what we could. We donated $500.00 to each of these veterans to help them catch up on financial expenses.

They met with our executive admin through zoom and she briefly spoke with them about what they were going through and verified their veteran status. Touched by their stories, our board chose these two veterans for our March donation.

Joe talked about how touched he was to receive the funds he needed, “Thank you, I have 40 cents in my bank account right now and no food in my house. I can pay my bills now. I am super grateful for Warrior Battalion and what they do. I want to help give back any way that I can”.

Joe recently used our Battle Buddy program during a time of distress and he is looking forward to joining the program to help others realize they have someone to talk to during the hard days. Joe, we are happy to help and we look forward to seeing you grow as you help others and yourself along this tough journey.

Our executive admin also met with D, she asked to remain anonymous for personal reasons, but after meeting on zoom and verifying her identity she did leave us with a quote. “Thank you for your generous donation thank you to Warrior Battalion for all that they do for us, thank you so much to the volunteers as well.” Through teary eyes we now say thank you.

Thank you donors for helping us to be able to help wonderful warriors like Joe and D. We need funds to continue to help veterans every day. Through our many healing programs we help others like Joe and D. Because amazing people step up to donate financially, to give their time, and to lend an ear people, like Joe and D can have a little extra help when times are tough. We aren’t crying, okay maybe we are.
